Homeless people in Brisbane have spoken out about being ordered by police to leave the central business district ahead of a visit by Camilla Parker Bowles.

On Friday Bowles met with representatives from homeless charities The Micah Project and Orange Sky Laundry in Brisbane’s King George Square, with representatives later tweeting her support for charitable ventures. Homeless woman Audrey Blair told Fairfax she and other occupants of the square were told to move on by police to make way for Parker Bowles’ arrival. “It’s like they’re trying to make everything look perfect, covering up all the bad stuff and trying to make out like Brisbane’s good,” Blair said …
