Tasmania set to see another wet weekend
Saturday
• A rainband will cross from the west of the state on Saturday ahead of a trough before extending statewide in the afternoon.
• Totals of 10-15mm of rain are expected in the west and north, a possible 15-20mm in elevated areas, and 5-10mm elsewhere in the state.
• The east coast is expected to see less than 2mm of rain.
• Possible isolated thunderstorms on Saturday with the trough.
Sunday
• As a cold front moves over the state around midday Sunday, another rainband will bring higher totals with 15-25mm in the west and north, but locally up to 50mm, and 10-15mm elsewhere.
• Possible thunderstorms on Sunday morning about the far north.
• The snowline is expected to sit around 1200–1300 metres Sunday afternoon.
Monday
• Rain is expected to ease late Sunday but showers will continue overnight and an additional 10-20mm of rain is expected in the north and west on Monday, but 2-5mm elsewhere.
