A tease of winter for Tassie

• Two cold fronts due to cross Tasmania on Sunday and Monday will see a cooler gusty change hit the state with strong winds and rain expected.
• Sunday morning will see strong wind gusts of up to 100km/h develop over elevated areas extending statewide during the afternoon.
• Strong winds with gusts up to 100km/h continue on Monday and ease during the day.
• Showers will extend statewide on Sunday with 10-30mm of rainfall expected over parts of the north and west, and less than 10mm elsewhere.
• A dusting of snow may settle on the high peaks above 1,100 metres late Monday and early Tuesday.
• Due to the cooler change expected with the second cold front crossing Monday, temperatures on Tuesday will drop to an average of 16-18 degrees before again rising to the low-20s on Wednesday as a high pressure system moves into the Tasman.
