Yes, sport is a great circus. But we need the bread of green space. We need space to move, not another developers’ turnstyle and ticket excuse to stand around and drink beer.
NSW needs funds for special ed and hospitals and ambulances. We need less privatisation and more public accountability. To destroy the fig trees and wide space of Moore Park for any structure is an outrage.
The whole embattled history of Moore Park and Centennial Park proves that they are vital. The value of this city is in clean air and unspoiled grass vistas. If there is nowhere for families to run free, to roll down slopes and play kites, healthy metro living is over.
This city is becoming run down, congested and unliveable, despite the good work of some like Clover, the Greens and occasionally, Labor.
Glad’s Government will glad hand away more than we can ever afford to lose. The LNP know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Developer greed is bottomless. We paved Homebush Bay and put in Olympic Park at great public cost. And yet we are still expected to sacrifice Moore.
