At least 58 people have died and 515 have been injured in one of the worst mass shootings in American history.
Stephen Paddock, 64, conducted the shooting from a room on the 32nd floor of Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, firing into a crowd gathered for the Route 91 Harvest Festival, a country music concert, before dying by suicide. Paddock’s brother Eric said he was “dumbfounded” at his brother’s actions, describing him as “a guy who lived in a house in Mesquite and drove down and gambled in Las Vegas” and “not a gun guy at all”.
