The Tasmanian Association of State School Organisations
(TASSO) welcome the Minister for Education and Training
Jeremy Rockliff’s announcement on the continuation of the
Early Childhood Intervention Services. ECIS plays a critical
role in supporting children with disabilities and their
families.

“It’s unfortunate that the roll out of the NDIS has
threatened the closure of the centres and the provision of
services, which has caused a great deal of stress and
concern for all those involved. One would like to see the
ECIS continue on, working alongside the roll out of the NDIS,
so our children with disabilities have their needs met.”
