Government embarrassingly runs out of legislation for Upper House to deal with
Obvious sign the Liberals have stopped governing
The Government has such a light legislative workload that the Upper House has packed up for the day before lunchtime.
Shadow Treasurer Scott Bacon said it’s embarrassing for the Liberals.
“No wonder the Liberals are obsessed with talking about Labor, they’ve run out of legislation,” Mr Bacon said.
“Three and a half years into government and the Liberals have no agenda.
“For the Legislative Council to pack up before lunchtime is an indictment on the Government’s agenda and a waste of public money.
“There are less than 12 parliament sitting days left in the life of this government but they’ve already run out of legislation.
“The Liberals should be embarrassed that their mismanagement means the Upper House has knocked off early.”
