US President Donald Trump is again facing widespread criticism, this time for failing to identify and condemn white nationalist violence that killed a 32-year-old woman.
Paralegal Heather Heyer was killed and 19 others were injured when 20-year-old James Alex Fields drove his car into an intersection crowded with protesters opposing a white nationalist rally. Fields, who has been charged with second-degree murder, marched in the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia with Vanguard America, a self-described “American fascist” group aiming to turn the US into “a nation exclusively for White American peoples”.
