Malcolm Turnbull needs to show leadership and stop the same sex marriage opinion poll in favour of a free vote in the Parliament.
This $122 million same-sex marriage opinion poll is a clear demonstration of how incompetent Malcolm Turnbull is as a leader.
Mr Turnbull has outsourced his job and the job of MP’s and Senators to the community to appease his Party and try to hold onto his job for a little longer.
Currently, we are experiencing bed block in our emergency departments, unprecedented levels of ramping of ambulances, long elective surgery waiting lists and an inability to attract staff to work in the hospital system. That is the crisis we are currently enduring and yet the Prime Minister is focused on conducting of a $122 million poll which is non-compulsory, non-binding and sets a dangerous precedent for our democracy.
Tasmania deserves a leader not someone who will do anything to hold onto power.
We need a leader who will lead the the policy debate on health and aged care policy.
As media personality Magda Szubanski so rightly put it, the $122 million to conduct this poll could be spent on aged care.
