“I tell people it was Shampoo that inspired me to become a hairdresser. But it was really The
Man Who Wasn’t There. I don’t wanna scare the clients I guess.”

Celebrating 10 years in the hairdressing industry, Jeremy Graham has styled men and women from
around the world at some of Sydney’s top salons. Currently based at Mu Hair in inner-city Sydney,
Jeremy draws inspiration from DIY haircuts, international sports stars and high fashion. His obsession
with pop-culture, cinema, and internet culture makes him the perfect fit for a post-Mona Hobart.

Jeremy also freelances as a director for creative production agency Paper Moose and has created
content for high profile accounts including TAFE NSW, the City of Sydney and GQ Magazine, amongst
others. He is currently combining talents and building a portfolio specific to hairdressing and most
recently has been invited to operate a pop-up style barber store in Hobart city from the 15 th to 18 th June.

The concept is simple – to activate a vacant café into a friendly, social space during one of the busiest
weekends on the local calendar, the annual Dark Mofo arts festival. The Popup is Mona inspired but not
Mona endorsed perhaps too edgy even for them. A barista will provide coffee and Jeremy will be offering
a range of barbering services to locals and travellers, with scope to generate content and connections
from the weekend’s adventures in art and hairdressing.

Partnering with Jeremy for the pop-up is The Pomade Shop, stockists of Australia’s largest range of
quality haircare and accessories for men. Jeremy will be utilising a number of their signature pomades
and grooming products so clients can be sure to look sharp for whatever the weekend has in store!
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to join in the festivities at the Barber Shop.
