Especially when it’s for such a good cause

The annual High Tea for Hamlin launches this July in support of Dr Catherine Hamlin.

We’re calling on Australians to support Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia again this year by hosting a High Tea to raise funds to help women in Ethiopia who have suffered debilitating childbirth injuries.

High Tea for Hamlin is a great way for Australians to get involved, get cooking and help restore the lives of women in Ethiopia.

Last year our High Tea for Hamlin hosts around Australia raised enough funds to pay for 340 life-changing obstetric fistula operations.

Events can be big or small, morning or afternoon, with tea or champagne. Supporters can host it at home, work, school, church or in their local community. In 2016, over 200 events were held across Australia – from Alice Springs all the way to Parliament House in Canberra.

Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia was founded over 60 years ago by legendary Australian obstetrician Dr Catherine Hamlin AC. More than 50,000 women who have suffered an obstetric fistula have received treatment free of charge.
