There’s a saying for mountain bike riders to “stay rubber side down” when taking on a tough trail.

Hundreds of riders are taking that on board after flocking to Tasmania’s north-east for the second round of the Enduro World Series.

Thousands have packed into the small town of Derby to cheer on the professionals and enthusiasts as they tackle the gruelling trails snaking through the hinterland.

Having arrived from New Zealand, where the opening round of the seven-event series was staged, the pros have given the Blue Derby trails a big thumbs up.
