 Malcolm Turnbull looking after himself at the detriment of Tasmania
 Tasmania would be hurt by changes to GST
 Services can’t withstand more cuts from Canberra

Shadow Treasurer Scott Bacon said comments from Liberal Finance Minister Mathias Cormann spell bad news for Tasmania.

“The Federal Finance Minister cannot rule out that Tasmania will not be worse off under changes to the way GST revenue is distributed,” Mr Bacon.

“If Malcolm Turnbull can’t stand up to his own West Australian Finance Minister, Tasmania is in trouble.

“Changes to GST distribution to favour WA would ultimately hurt services in Tasmania.

“We’ve seen massive cuts to health and education over the past three years, we can’t afford another cruel blow to services.

“Tasmania has been forgotten by the Federal Government since the last election. Malcolm Turnbull has barely been seen in the state and now our fair share of the GST is under threat.”
