The nation’s education ministers have been left feeling disappointed after they said a meeting in Hobart provided little certainty over the future of a new funding model.
Federal Education Minister Simon Birmingham was in Tasmania on Friday to discuss the future of federal education funding with his state counterparts.
The meeting was one of many for the Education Council as it attempts to negotiate a new funding model to come into effect in 2018.
But ministers say they were once again left feeling frustrated as the meeting finished with no solid outcome.
