Director of Key Assets exposes Minister during radio interview
Key Assets Director reveals investigation started today
Premier must now step in
Premier Will Hodgman has no choice but to sack embattled Human Services Minister Jacquie Petrusma.
It’s been revealed the Minister has been misleading Parliament all week over the investigation into Key Assets.
“The Director of Key Assets has dropped a bombshell during a radio interview,” Labor Leader Bryan Green said.
On Tasmania Talks this morning, host Brian Carlton uncovered the truth about the progress of the Government’s investigation.
BRIAN CARLTON: What’s the nature of the investigation being carried out by Jacquie Petrusma’s Department, the Human Services Department at the moment?
CAROLINE BROWN – KEY ASSETS: So we’ve been contacted by the Department today to say that the first phase of their investigation is a fact check and they’ll be forwarding through a list of questions for us to respond to in the next 24 hours.
“This utterly contradicts so many things the Minister has said in Parliament this week,” Mr Green said.
“The Premier now has no choice but to sack his Minister.
“The Minister’s claim the investigation started on January 25 has been exposed, so have her claims the allegations have been proven false.
“None of the allegations have even been tested yet, let alone proven false.
“The CEO of Key Assets has exposed the Minister and the Premier now must act.
“We do not expect Jacquie Petrusma to be the Minister when Parliament resumes next week.”
