The National Justice Project was successful in obtaining an injunction to stop a man being returned to Manus island without his medical condition being properly assessed and diagnosed.

The man has a serious health condition which has remained undiagnosed for over three years. Lawyers have sought orders to require the Minister to cease breaching his duty of care to the man.
