Australia’s oldest golf course is driving renewed confidence in the central highlands.
Following a $1.5 million investment, historic Ratho Farm is now Tasmania’s newest regional visitor attraction.
Ratho Farm Highlands Resort has opened its doors to overnight and business visitors with the development of luxury accommodation and a homestead atrium.
The property now boasts a 65-person function centre and its heritage structures have been renovated and equipped with boutique modern features to create 16 bedroom accommodation.
The Tasmanian Government supports tourism developments like Ratho Farm because they assist regional economies and regional jobs.
They also provide economic diversification in that they create more jobs outside primary industries and more within the tourism, food and hospitality industry.
Ratho Farm Highlands Resort is a stunning example of a development that celebrates and conserves both its natural environment and cultural heritage.
