The Hodgman Government is delivering a stimulus package for the North and North West to help create jobs and grow the economy.
At the heart of the package is an innovative plan to partner with local councils in the North and North West to bring forward planned infrastructure projects to provide an immediate stimulus.
The response so far has been very encouraging, with a number of councils in the process of finalising their submissions.
Our plan will not only deliver vital jobs it will also leave a long-lasting legacy of better infrastructure right across the State.
If the initial trial in the North and North West is successful then we would consider expanding it to other councils where stimulus is required.
The Hodgman Government is getting on with the job and delivering for Tasmanians.
