Let me say it again slowly for Labor so they understand.
We didn’t sell the gas-fired power station, and we kept the lights on.
In contrast, Labor wanted to turn them off.
Under us, energy prices are 2.4 percent lower than when we came to office.
Under Labor and the Greens, electricity prices rose 65 percent.
No amount of Labor claiming otherwise will change these facts.
In relation to Hydro’s infrastructure, Hydro have made it clear that they expect to “comfortably address” these issues.
And to the extent that Hydro does face future infrastructure challenges, Labor expects the community to conveniently forget that they were in charge until just a little over two years ago.
Whilst Hydro are confident they can comfortably manage these issues if Labor wants to pursue this latest reckless scare, they should explain why during their 16 years in Government they did nothing whilst ripping hundreds of millions of dividends out of the company.
