Friday Nights Live, the Moonah Arts Centre’s regular live music series continues with The Australian Guitar Trio playing September 30 from 6pm.
Keeping pace with the guitar’s renegade journey across music history, the Australian Guitar Trio draws inspiration from medieval music to post-modern psychedelia with every imaginable influence in between.
This feature has defined the group from the outset, an original sound and aesthetic that comes with a fluid movement across genres, the use of chiming, open strings on the guitars, and an element of mystery and ambiguity within the music that no-one can quite put a finger on.
Sparkling effervescent textures and blending of contemporary influences with classical foundations create the unique sonic identity of the Australian Guitar Trio. (The Australian)
