The Department of Health and Human Services has approved the lifting of the boil water alert affecting people in Westerway, Fentonbury and National Park.
The Department of Health and Human Services imposed the Boil Water Alert on 6 June after heavy rain in the catchment area led to discolouration and high turbidity levels in the water supply.
Water quality testing has demonstrated that the risk to public health has been appropriately mitigated and therefore the Director of Public Health has lifted the boil water alert.
TasWater’s CEO Michael Brewster thanks residents for their patience during the period of the boil water alert.
Residents and businesses will receive written notice over the coming days informing them of the Boil Water Alert being lifted.
