Thursday 9th June at Moonah Arts Centre 6.30 – for 7pm Panel session

What do women want? This Federal Election Forum is a women’s only event aimed at focussing on the parties’ policies which affect women.

Five female candidates representing five different parties will form the panel moderated by ABC Radio’s Louise Saunders. Topics will be wide ranging, many of which impact on women’s health and wellbeing. The women attending will want a clear explanation of policies which influence their lives at home, at work and their community.

“Hobart Women’s Health Centre has arranged similar functions in past election years and the feedback has been very positive. In an all women’s environment the event is more informal and candidates tend to be respectful of each other’s views. The bland repetitive slogan approach is cast aside and a robust and relevant conversation takes place. We are hoping for this same approach at this year’s event,” Glynis Flower Executive Officer, Hobart Women’s Health Centre, said.

The panel will consist of …

House of reps candidates
Jane Austin – Australian Labor Party Candidate for Denison
Amanda-Sue Markham – Liberal Party of Australia Candidate for Franklin

Senate Candidates
Jacqui Lambie – Jacqui Lambie Network
Michelle Hoult – Nick Xenophon group
Anna Reynolds – Australian Greens
