This email is just to let you know that the scheduled release of draft 3 of the FSC Australia Forest Stewardship Standard (originally planned for today) has had to be put back until this Friday (the 8th of April) as we are just putting the final touches on some individual sections of the document that required extended discussion and technical work.
I will be holding a webinar this Thursday afternoon at 4pm Australian Eastern Standard Time to update stakeholders and members. Also, during the consultation a number of issue-specific webinars will be held once we are able to line up SDG members’ availability. However, each Thursday afternoon a general update webinar will run as well (subject to interest).
To join the webinar please RSVP to me by replying to this email as there is a finite number of places available. If we extend past the allowable numbers I will organise a second one for Monday. Also, if you have any specific questions or topics you are interested in please let me know in your RSVP so I can ensure it is included.
Also, I would encourage you to register for our AGM and policy forum in Melbourne on the 26th of May. This will include a facilitated forum on the Standard and will be an important opportunity for everyone to engage directly with the Standards Development Group (SDG).
