For a little while Adam is indeed ‘branding’ a new image in joining forces with ‘The Outlaws’, the danger with these lads is that they know how to seriously party!

The Outlaws are comprised of Mike Carr, Travis Collins, Matt Cornell and Drew McAlister but get in quick if you want to see them because these outlaws are going to be rounded up rapidly, as each outlaw has his own burgeoning solo career to return to.

I spoke to Adam Brand earlier this week and he told me that he always makes sure that Tassie is on his tour schedule when he releases a new album.

As a self-acknowledged ’foodie’ who has dabbled in restaurant ownership and in fact tells me he has just sold a restaurant! He is appreciative of, and says Tassie is synonymous with exceptional produce and the exceptional produce is not just of the food variety. Adam says the exceptional thing about Tasmania is the audiences, whom he says, definitely have the x-factor, going off and having a great party every time he performs here. Adam says the venues are always great in Wrest Point and the Country Club. Adam even likes the slightly cooler weather!

Adam‘s outlaws are ‘cheeky and unpredictable, edgy and fun’ but with ‘hearts of gold’. You might see them looking the ominous outlaw and other times holding babies in their arms!

As to lack of longevity of the group Adam says it’s fun while it lasts, and what fun it is. Some of the cheeky things the boys have been doing include sneaking up at events in Melbourne’s Federation square, sitting quietly until their ‘outlaw’ moment of standing up to sing an impromptu song before moving on surrounded by applause and cheers of the crowd. As Adam explains, on the stage it’s five singers all singing together on each song which comprise ‘musical anthem classics’, or ‘all killer no filler’. Adam says performances are so infectious and with the boys having so many songs to sing there is no need for a support act.

I ask Adam does he have that moment of epiphany in writing and performing when he knows something just works, such as this present project? Well Adam says it best by saying ‘it feels right’ like ‘a comfortable pair of boots’.
