Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull told ABC radio in Launceston this morning that his Government is considering funding the critical years five and six of Gonski.
“Premier Will Hodgman has a golden opportunity to step up and advocate strongly for years five and six of Gonski funding but we’ve heard nothing from him,” said Roz Madsen, AEU Tasmanian Branch State Manager.
“What is Will Hodgman doing to convince Malcolm Turnbull to deliver years five and six of Gonski funding – which are the most significant – worth $132 million for Tasmanian schools?”
“It’s National Gonski Week and Will Hodgman needs to explain to parents and teachers exactly what he’s doing to secure $132 million of much needed school funding from the Federal Government.”
