Restaurateur Angelo Fraraccio from Da Angelo’s is continuing to show his commitment to the community by hosting a free pizza lunch on Tuesday 13th October during Anti-Poverty Week.

In partnership with Colony 47, Da Angelo’s restaurant is providing gourmet pizzas to clients of Colony 47, in an effort to bring awareness to the issues and implications of poverty here in Tasmania.

This is the fourth year that Angelo Fraraccio has supported Anti-Poverty Week.

“Our work with Colony 47 to fight disadvantage is something my team and I are passionate about” said Mr Fraraccio.

CEO Therese Taylor said that poverty is continuing to be a serious issue in Tasmania with many families unable to keep up with the cost of living, unable to find employment and having limited access to learning opportunities.

“We are very grateful for the generosity of Angelo and his team, not only for their contribution to Anti-Poverty week, but also their ongoing commitment to our Two Dollars For Change initiative at the restaurant, the support we receive from Da Angelo’s changes lives” she said.

Anti Poverty Week is a national week around the United Nations International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (17 Oct) which aims to strengthen public understanding of the causes and consequences of poverty and hardship.
