Kneecapped … !

Posted on

When Erich Abetz was Minister for Forests in the Howard Liberal Government he sent two of his Goons to my front door to warn me that it was not in my interests to continue my campaign against him … and the $50,000 given to the Liberal Party three weeks after he was made the Minister.

The $50,000 for the Liberal Party was given by now-bankrupt Gunns Limited who were then promoting a Pulp Mill in Tasmania.

I took great exception to this type of thuggish behaviour and told them to return to their master … and that I would now pursue Abetz to the grave.

Abetz was the keeper of the dirt files in the Howard Government and as a result a protector of Damien Mantach who worked in a secret Liberal information-gathering section which allowed him contact with – amongst others – Godwin Grech and the Exclusive Brethren.

When the going got hot in Canberra Abetz moved Mantach to Tasmania where he took nearly $50,000 from the State Liberal Party. This matter was hushed up. Abetz then moved Mantach to Victoria where he is presumed to have repeated his previous conduct … but this time for a sum exceeding $1,500,000.

I took Abetz to the High Court over his Dual Nationality and his right to sit in the Senate. He renounced his citizenship in 2010; you cannot renounce a citizenship you do not have. He was therefore sitting illegally in the Senate for some 15 years.

Abetz has finally been knee-capped by the man he brought down to the benefit of Abbott and been sent to the backbenches where he always belonged.

All that remains now is for the ATO to investigate his Channel Highway land deals as detailed in my Abetz advert here on Tasmanian Times: http://oldtt.pixelkey.biz/index.php/article/abetz-and-channel-highway-land-deals

The Liberal Party in Tasmania will hopefully now bite the bullet and rid itself of this appalling man in order to act with the interests of all Tasmanians in mind rather than destroying this beautiful place to satisfy an Abetzian whim.

• Jack Jolly in Comments: … I am thankful to John Hawkins for setting a fine example of what participating in the democratic process can actually require sometimes. He had the balls to stand up to this form of social toxin when it was at its most potent. Tasmania needs to rid itself of the representatives of bygone eras and maybe consider that people like John deserve our great respect. Res, non verba. Well done John.
