This is incredibly disappointing news and the Government will do everything it can to support the affected workers at Cadbury.
The Government has spoken to Cadbury this morning and sent the Skills Response Unit to work with the company and ensure employees are appropriately supported.
It’s important to remember Cadbury has invested heavily in Tasmania to the tune of $100 million over the past five years, and is committed to an ongoing future here.
Cadbury is going through a transformation as a result of the broader market circumstances but they’ve made very clear they’re committed to their future in Hobart and Tasmania.
