Should it be subsidised?
Yes it should … to the same extent (km for km) that the Federal Government (ie. we taxpayers) subsidises the National Highway system (of which Bass Strait is not part, but the Bass and Midland Highways are).
And if the Burnie-Geelong ship works out then we need to bring back the George Town-Port Albert service as well.
Congratulations Jacqui Lambie on taking the initiative that generations of other Tassie politicians have completely ignored.
