In our last 3 newsletters, Action for Tasmanian Autistic Children has carried stories focusing on the NDIS. The first two of these articles expose how billions of taxpayer dollars are being wasted on a scheme that in its present form has no hope of being successful and solving the problems the disabled are faced with.
The third article of the series shifts focus to show how the NDIS should be redirected to provide evidence-based services which will benefit disabled with brain disorders who now constitute 89% of all those people who are disabled in Australia.
We consider these to be very important articles, and that the issues they raise need a wider coverage amongst the general population, who after all are required through their taxes to pay for this scheme.
The NDIS under present management is a scheme heading for disaster as it ignores all the scientific advances that have been made over the last 10 years.
