The Liberal Government is no closer to establishing the international shipping links it promised Tasmanian exporters at the election.

“The government has comprehensively failed to deliver on its commitment to exporters,” Mr Bacon said.

“The Liberals are still posturing despite all their political bravado over freight services in the lead up to the election.

“Will Hodgman still cannot give any guarantees of when international shipping services will be operating.

“The government’s inaction over freight once again shows its all talk and no action.

“The Liberals have had almost eight months in government and still there is no relief in sight for Tasmanian exporters.

“It’s typical of this government which is bogged down in a mire of committees, task forces, working groups and reviews.

“The Liberals gave exporters the impression they would establish international shipping links with the click of the fingers and there’s no excuse for their failure.”
