Royal Hobart Hospital Rescue Taskforce Chair John Ramsay has today laid bare the full extent of Labor and the Green’s mismanagement of the Royal Hobart Hospital.
His comments today are further proof of Labor’s incompetence on this vital project. 1
Since Paul Lennon first raised the prospect of a new hospital in 2006, Labor and the Greens have spent millions of dollars with no outcome for Tasmania’s health system.
This was the mess we inherited, but Tasmanians should be reassured this is the mess we intend to fix.
Whereas Labor accomplished nothing in 8 years except waste taxpayers’ money, we have already taken significant steps to rescue the redevelopment.
In May, I appointed the Rescue Taskforce to identify and overcome the challenges facing the Royal Hobart Hospital.
The taskforce will report later this month on the best way forward for the redevelopment. The taskforce will also provide the government with a pre-feasibility assessment of the Domain Proposal.
Tasmanians deserve better than what Labor gave them and that is what we will deliver. The Liberal Government is committed to rescuing the Royal Hobart Hospital.
