Workplace bullying is a reality that can affect anyone at any stage of their career and as a part of
WorkSafe Tasmania Month, Empathy and Courage are presenting, Inoculate yourself against
bullying, a free information session aimed at making workers bully-proof.

Workplace bullying session presenter, Dr Diane Caney said bullying is no less harmful than an electric
shock or a chemical spill.

“Bullying might not be a physical hazard, but it’s still very dangerous,” Dr Caney said.

“At Empathy and Courage, we believe being respectful at work is not optional. Bullying in the
workplace can cause serious harm and victims shouldn’t feel like they need to harden up over
bullying.

“People really struggle with bullying and they simply don’t know what to do. Our information
sessions aim to empower people with the tools they need to deal with the workplace bully.”
