2013’s Dog’s Day Out heralded the inaugural Poochibald Art Prize. This year’s event, introduces the Poochibald Junior especially for young artists. Featuring paintings, drawings and prints by school age Tasmanians of their family dogs, dogs they know and even some famous pooches.

With high and primary school categories on display in the Schoolhouse Gallery, winners will be announced at the annual Dogs Day Out on Sunday 5th October, 11am – 3pm.

Also happening on the day are a host of activities for the fur children including costume and look-alike contests, fly-ball challenge, and treats a plenty; there’s loads to keep them entertained.

Whilst there, pet families will be entertained by string ensemble Good Wolfe, enjoy RSPCA’s sausage sizzle and peruse the range of services on offer.

Scott Hunt our resident Dog Grumbler will be hosting the show and discussing various elements of dog psychology as well as assisting with the judging.

Who will win the scruffiest dog or the best dressed contest? Only Dog’s Day will tell.
