Labor and the Greens demonstrated over years of Government that they did not support Tasmanian businesses.
Today they hit rock bottom with extraordinary criticism of the Liberal Government for supporting a Tasmanian business.
Yesterday MyState Limited, a proudly Tasmanian business, took a significant step by becoming Australia’s newest bank. We were very pleased to congratulate MyState on this achievement.
MyState has placed newspaper advertisements, with no financial contribution from the Tasmanian Government, outlining their achievement and highlighting my letter of congratulations to them.
This is no different from cutting a ribbon at an opening or issuing a media release in support of business – something Labor may remember doing in the distant past before they aligned with the Greens.
Unlike Labor, the Liberal Government supports Tasmanian business.
We are proud to support and promote Tasmanian business and Tasmanian jobs, that’s what our long- term plan is all about.
