We are very saddened to learn of the passing of Peter Sculthorpe AO OBE.

Born in Launceston in 1929, Peter Sculthorpe became one of Australia’s greatest composers.

His internationally renowned works were known and celebrated for their distinctly Australian references.

On behalf of all Tasmanians, I pay tribute to a great Tasmanian and Australian.
