I’m sure the thoughts and deepest sympathies of Tasmanians are with all those, both here in Australia and around the world, who have lost loved ones in the Malaysia Airlines disaster in Ukraine.

In honour of the victims of this terrible tragedy, flags at Parliament House are flying at half-mast today.

This is a tragedy which will affect the lives of so many people around the world. On behalf of my parliamentary colleagues, I extend my deepest sympathies to the families of those who have lost their lives.
