Jetstar is on the hunt for Tasmanian grassroots organisations whose efforts to make a difference in their local community could use a boost skyward – literally.

Following the success of the 2013 Jetstar Flying Start community grant program, which awards grants valued at $30,000 to local organisations, Australia’s leading low fares carrier is continuing the initiative for another year.

Jetstar is now calling for charities, community groups and social enterprises based in Victoria and Tasmania to apply for a $30,000 grant, made up of $15,000 cash and $15,000 worth of Jetstar flights.

The initiative is designed to help not-for-profit organisations fund projects that make a positive impact in their community. Jetstar encourages charities, educational, health, arts or sporting organisations with a specific activity in mind to apply for the grant.

Entry is open to Australian not-for-profit community groups and organisations of any size. Applicants for the next grant close on 30 September 2014 from community groups in Victoria and Tasmania. Full application details are available at www.jetstar.com.
