The employment of Ms Jane Holden has been terminated
I wish to update the House on an important matter.
I am now in a position to advise the House that after due consideration, the Acting CEO of the THO-South, Mr Matthew Daly, has terminated the employment of Ms Jane Holden.
Ms Holden’s legal representative has been advised accordingly.
As previously advised, on 23 May the Governing Council recommended Ms Holden’s appointment as Acting CEO of the THO-South be terminated.
The Government accepted that advice, causing Ms Holden’s employment to revert to a substantive position in an organisation which is no longer required, with no duties attached.
Ms Holden’s substantive position has been abolished and no other position has been identified in THO-South suitable for Ms Holden’s ongoing employment.
As has been advised earlier, I make it clear that while the Integrity Commission report tabled last week made a number of allegations, this was not the basis on which Ms Holden’s employment has been terminated.
A termination payment will be provided to Ms Holden in accordance with the terms of Ms Holden’s contract, including 24 weeks’ severance pay and a further 5 weeks in lieu of notice.
