Shadow Treasurer Scott Bacon has welcomed today’s Australian Bureau of Statistics figures that showed jobs growth in May.

“It is encouraging to see more jobs in the state,” Shadow Treasurer Scott Bacon said.

“This continues a positive trend in jobs growth that started under the previous government.

“But with unemployment remaining steady it is far too soon for anyone in Tasmania to rest on their laurels and the new government must build on this growth.

“This is good news for Tasmania and Labor will not talk down the state’s economy from opposition.”
