In less than three months the Liberal Government has turned farmer confidence around by getting on with the job of delivering our long-term plan for Tasmania.
RaboBank’s latest survey shows that more than one-third of farmers, or 36 per cent, expect conditions in the agricultural economy to improve over the coming year.
This is a three-fold increase from the previous survey at the end of the Labor-Green Government, when confidence was at just 13 per cent.
RaboBank state manager Greg Bott is absolutely right when he says “the newly elected State Government has an increased focus on agriculture and the important role it plays in the Tasmanian economy”.
This Government has a clear vision to grow the value of our agricultural produce tenfold by 2050.
Agrivision 2050 is ultimately about growing the economy and creating jobs by capitalising on one of our key competitive strengths, our primary industries.
