It has been disappointing to see photos of young women who smoke on the front pages of The Australian recently.
The images of attractive young people with cigarettes sends a poor message to other young people who may easily be misled into thinking this a “cool” activity without negative health consequences.
Pictures of smoking-induced premature ageing would be more appropriate.
On the other hand the apparent monkey on the back of Marianna Tigani was particularly apt. (The Australian, 18/6).
