Labor Leader Bryan Green said the loss of 100 jobs at Hydro Tasmania is a sad indictment on the policies of Liberal Governments.

“The blame for these job losses lies firmly at the feet of Tony Abbott who has attacked the carbon price and the Renewable Energy Scheme,” Mr Green said

“Will Hodgman has callously chosen to side with his Liberal mates in Canberra over the futures of 100 Tasmanian families.

“This Government has made terminating jobs its number one priority.

“These are highly skilled professionals who face an uncertain future and could be lost to the state.”
