Charles Griplas has been a successful Chief Executive Officer of the TT-Line for over six years and Tasmania owes him thanks for his excellent service.
I have enjoyed a productive relationship with Charles both in Opposition and, briefly, as Portfolio Minister for the Company.
I wish Charles all the best in his new role and am certain that his legacy of leadership and achievement will provide a strong platform for his successor.
Tourism is one of Tasmania’s competitive strengths. We have a bold plan to grow our tourism industry to 1.5 million visitors annually by 2020 and the TT-Line will be an important contributor in achieving that goal.
TT-Line faces an exciting future under this Liberal Government and I’m confident TT-Line can attract a high quality replacement for Mr Griplas.
