Performing in theatres for the first time in decades

“A stunning return to form.”The Independent, Nov 2013″Master poet, caustic social critic and intrepid, guiding spirit of the counter-culture generation.” Time Magazine’s 100 Most Important People of the Century

“Striking the chords of American history and infusing American popular music… with new depth and emotion. He probably had more impact on… my generation than any other… artist.” Bill Clinton (Kennedy Center Honors Reception)

“Bob freed your mind the way Elvis freed your body – he showed us that just because music was innately physical did not mean that it was anti-intellectual.”
Bruce Springsteen (Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Induction)

“a planet to be explored… for a songwriter, Dylan is as essential as a hammer and nails and a saw are to a carpenter.” Tom Waits

“…a persuasive example of how good Dylan’s current creative roll is.” Uncut, Nov 2013

“…be wowed by a tight band, and mesmerised by a man who spoke so much of the 60s, yet is still, astonishingly, speaking anew.” The Observer, Nov 2013

The long celebrated legacy of Bob Dylan, will be once again lauded this winter with his welcomed return to Australia. Upon the celebration of this legend’s 73rd birthday, Chugg Entertainment can now confirm that Bob Dylan and his band will be coming back to Australia and New Zealand for a month-long tour. For the first time in over two decades, Bob Dylan draws the fans closer with performances in some of the most iconic theatre venues in the country. Fans can anticipate a musical event of depth, grace and significance, delivered by one of the greats.

The tour will take in shows at the Claudelands Arena in Hamilton, NZ on Saturday 9th August, Perth’s Riverside Theatre on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th August, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th August, the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Monday 25th August, Canberra’s Royal Theatre on Friday 29th August, Adelaide Entertainment Centre (intimate mode) on Sunday 31st August, and Sydney’s State Theatre on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th September and CBS Canterbury Arena in Christchurch, NZ on Wednesday 10th September.

How does one begin to describe the seismic force of an artist of this calibre? To note that this is a man with more than 50 album releases and a career spanning six decades, barely scratches the surface of the monumental impact his presence has made on popular culture. Perhaps his most impactful achievement though, is his timeless ability to remain relevant; deftly crossing multiple generations.

“Last year he flashed his genius once again on new album “Tempest,” and now the tour…finds him in better fighting shape than we’ve seen him in years.” Pittsburg Post-Gazette, Apr 2013

An opportunity to see Bob Dylan live in concert is an opportunity to share an encounter with one of the few pan-generational icons.
