Greens Leader Kim Booth MP today announced the new Greens shadow portfolio line-up which sees the three MPs share 29 portfolios between them.

“The Greens have a proud track-record of punching beyond our weight and we are determined to work hard and meet our responsibilities in all shadow portfolio areas,” Mr Booth said.

“Clearly we have the strong ministerial skills and expertise of Mr McKim in the crucial Education and Training portfolio.”

“Whereas both Labor and Liberal have failed to recognise the fact that climate change is a critical policy challenge facing us, we have still prioritised having a climate change portfolio, where Ms O’Connor’s previous ministerial experience will put the other two parties to shame.”

“As Greens Leader I have retained some of my previous portfolio responsibilities, including Forestry, and have also taken on key areas such as Aboriginal Affairs and Treasury.”

“We are ready to get on and get working to hold this anti-environment and socially regressive Liberal government to account,” Mr Booth said.
