TASMANIAN Greens MPs Nick McKim and Cassy O’Connor were among the crowd today at a rally designed to voice disappointment in the Federal Government.
Organiser Margaret McMillan said the peaceful, grassroots event was not aligned to any political party, with marches being held throughout Australia during the next few days.
“It’s people power,” she said.
“This response is amazing from collection of individuals expressing their vote of no confidence in the Government’s decisions and policies.
“We want to put the Australian Government on notice that a large segment of the population is not satisfied with its direction.”
