Take a bow, Aurora … and they did, sensitively!

Credit, where credit is due …

The Tuffins’ humble little weatherboard in Howrah Flats has a much-loved gumtree spreading its wings all over the verge just outside the boundary fence. The maggies and miners and other visiting wild life – including the odd possum – love it.

A power line runs through it. Powerlines and gumtrees don’t particularly mix.

So, at some stage, as the the limbs encroached on the line, something had to be done. Aurora was called. A nice young lady noted our desperate desire for sensitive trimming to enable the gum and the line to co-exist.

Then the men in hiz-viz arrived … and did the most magnificent job of sensitively trimming limb from line. Although the piccie doesn’t show it, there is a huge gap twixt limb and line.

The gum survives to delight another day. the Tuffins remain powered.

Bless you, Aurora!x
