Presented by Ten Days in association with Strut & Fret

Having brought the house down everywhere from New York to Edinburgh, Paris to Chicago and London to
Stockholm, La Soirée is heading to Hobart direct from the Sydney Opera House with its award-winning
international variety sensation to wow Tasmanian audiences.

Ten Days Executive Director and Producer Marcus Barker said Tasmanian audiences should expect the
unexpected when the world’s greatest exponents of cabaret, new burlesque, circus sideshow and
vaudeville take centre stage in the Spiegeltent.

“Making its long awaited Tasmanian debut, La Soirée is a well-lubricated line-up of short acts ranging
from stunning aerial acrobatics and circus sideshow through to adult comedy and cabaret, sprinkled with
flirtatious and sensual circus fun,” Mr Barker said.

“Headline act La Soirée is the ultimate Spiegeltent spectacular and it’s certainly not every day you get to
see British cabaret star Ursula Martinez and her very mischievous disappearing hanky!

“La Soirée’s line-up also features original cast member Miss Behave – one of the last surviving female
sword swallowers in the world – with her infamous sword swallowing act, as well as two of the world’s
finest aerial artists Hugo and Katherine, who will send shivers down audience members’ spines with their
gravity defying acrobatics.

“Joining Miss Behave and Hugo and Katherine is one of Sweden’s finest circus acts David & Fofo, who will
amaze Tasmanian audiences with ping pong balls, juggling and acrobatics as well as La Soirée favourites
La Gateau Chocolate and Jess Love.

“Rounding off this incredible line-up and coming out of retirement for one final swan song are circus
royalty The Skating Willers.”

Mr Barker said he was very excited to welcome to Tasmania the internationally-acclaimed headline act La
Soirée with its intoxicating cocktail of cabaret, which he knows will leave audiences screaming for more.

“La Soirée has already proved incredibly popular with Tasmanian audiences, selling out five performances
prior to opening night plus an additional 250 seats, so due to popular demand we are now announcing
one final show to be held on Saturday, 22 March in the Spiegeltent at 4pm,” he said.

“This will be the final La Soirée performance to be released and with the curtain coming down on the
Spiegeltent program on Sunday evening, this is an opportunity that is sure to be snapped up fast.”
