New video announcement for ‘Only One’ single

‘Only One’ the JOHN BUTLER TRIO’s first single lifted from the band’s new album ‘Flesh & Blood’(due for worldwide release on February 7th 2014) has elated fans as the band showcased new songs and crowd favourites on their recent sold out intimate tour a couple of weeks ago. The single, has also achieved huge interest at radio with virtually all commercial radio networks, triple j, community radio stations and many ABC stations around the country rotating the track across airwaves.

Now it’s time to introduce the band’s new video for ‘Only One’ which portrays the trio as you have never seen them before! Directed by Perth’s Ben Young, the unusual video depicts the band as Zombies – be afraid, be very afraid!

“Only One is one of those ‘turn around” songs. The idea of a Zombie love story came to me a while ago. I wanted the song and video almost to be juxtaposed but still somehow have an element of love….and humour. I think we made a seriously cool and funny video. I love it. Even if I do look dead!”

‘Only One’, available now through iTunes, presents a fresh take on JBT’s signature sound. Cascading acoustic riffs flow effortlessly over driving rhythms while sun kissed steel drums and an inspirational melody and lyric delivers a quality summer soundtrack.
